What does the Dirty Dozen got to do with Germany besides a Great War Movie? Well, in February of 2006
we got word that an 18 year veteran of the LZ-Hackenbroich Fire Company of
Dormagen, Germany is working here in the States and wishes to join our
company. However, Gerold Dirks is more than just an 18 year veteran, prior
to coming here he was serving as a Deputy Fire Chief. |

Dormagen Fire Company is made up of 9 companies and is located approx. 350
miles east of Berlin. The department consist of 242 volunteer members and 45
